Paian Quartet perform live in Nafplion

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 Paian Quartet perform live at Vouleftiko in Nafplion. The event starts at 9.00 pm The rapidly rising ensemble from Denmark owes its name to the ancient Greek word "paean", signifying a song of triumph or thanksgiving, close to the concept of the modern march. Approaching music from many different angles -one of them being psychology- and inspired both by the tradition of music and the latest scientific developments, they are able to create an explosive dynamic through their elective selection of totally different works and their performances. The PAIAN quartet aspire to establish hidden gems of contemporary composition to the audience while at the same time intend not to forget the classic repertoire : the basis for today’s music.
