Cultural event at the Mycenean Acropolis of Midea

Friday, September 6, 2013 Cultural event at the Mycenean Acropolis of Midea for its excavation and promotion. The event starts at 7.00 pm The presentation will be made by the Honorary Superintendent of Antiquities and Director of Excavations at Midea, Dr. Catherine Demakopoulou, her close associate, Mrs. Nicoletta Divaris-Valakou, Director of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and Mr. Themistocles Billis, architect. The topics of the lectures are: "The excavation and the emergence of the Mycenaean Acropolis" (by Dr. Demakopoulou and Nikoletta Divari-Valakou) and "Architectural documentation of the fortification of Midea" (Mr. Themistocles Billis) The event will be accompanied musically by Kalliopi Vetta and Yiannis Ioannou.
